A Product Designer role is now open in a foreign cosmetic company. The selected candidate will create innovative, cost-effective packaging and product concepts that align with market trends, regulations, and sustainability goals.
Responsibilities:
- Design product concepts, packaging, and components such as compacts, bottles, and applicators
- Create 2D and 3D renderings, technical drawings, and prototypes
- Collaborate with product development, marketing, and suppliers to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness
- Conduct market research on materials, trends, and competitors, especially K-beauty
- Ensure designs meet regulatory standards and sustainability goals
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of product or industrial design experience (cosmetics or personal care is highly preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating beauty product or packaging projects and technical skills
- Proficient in 3D modelling (Rhino, KeyShot, SolidWorks) and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes (injection moulding, glass/plastic), and print techniques
- Understanding of user-centred design principles
- Familiarity with K-beauty innovation and consumer preferences is preferred
- CMF (Color, Material, Finish) expertise is desirable
- Fluent level English; Chinese is a plus
