Retail Area Manager

    Location: Seoul Capital Area

    Contract Type: Permanent

    Salary: ₩60,000,000 – ₩90,000,000 per annum

    An international consumer goods manufacturer is looking for a Retail Area Manager. The selected applicant will drive store performance across an assigned territory, ensuring operational excellence, team effectiveness, and consistent execution of brand standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement local retail strategies aligned with global guidelines and cluster objectives to drive sustainable growth and profitability across all store formats
    • Act as a key liaison between stores and cross-functional corporate groups such as finance, marketing, and merchandising, ensuring clear communication and collaboration and representing the territory at Cluster Meetings
    • Monitor and analyse daily sales reports, KPIs, and operational metrics across all stores, taking immediate action on issues or opportunities
    • Conduct regular store visits to assess operations, coach staff, and ensure compliance with standards and procedures
    • Manage inventory levels, product mix, and visual merchandising standards across stores to optimise sales and customer experience
    • Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, and training to ensure coverage, efficiency, and consistent delivery of premium customer service
    • Manage all retail operations within the assigned territory
    • Oversee a typical span of control of stores depending on geographic spread and store size
    • Travel regularly within the territory to maintain hands-on oversight of all locations
    • Collaborate with international retail teams and participate in international working teams
    • Implement standards and compliance management within the territory

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or above in business administration, retail management, or related field
    • More than 10 years of experience in multi-site retail management (premium goods sector is preferred)
    • Proficient in retail management systems and MS Office suite
    • Excellent leadership and coaching abilities, with experience managing diverse teams
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
    • Deep understanding of retail operations
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence across all levels of the organisation
    • Ability and willingness to travel
    • Fluent level Korean and English
