A foreign intelligence platform is searching for a BD Manager. The chosen candidate will drive customer acquisition and revenue growth by managing the sales cycle, building client relationships, and promoting SaaS solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire new customers through prospecting, networking, and targeted outreach
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, negotiation, and closing
- Build and maintain relationships with C-level stakeholders in biotech, academia, fine chemicals, and manufacturing industries
- Utilise customer case studies to accelerate the adoption of SaaS solutions
- Collaborate with ASEAN colleagues to share insights and best practices
- Enhance clients’ IP and R&D workflows with a customer-focused approach
- Apply data-driven methods for sales funnel and account management with accurate forecasting
- Resolve client issues through escalation and troubleshooting
- Conduct customer onboarding and quarterly business reviews
- Analyse territory and convert opportunities into consistent growth, meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- Manage and convert pipeline opportunities with accurate reporting
- Stay updated on product developments to effectively communicate value to clients
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of new business development experience with customers in South Korea
- Experience working with various internal and external stakeholders
- Possess strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Proven track record of performance in past account management and expansion positions
Preferred requirements:
- Educational background or equivalent experience in intellectual property, manufacturing, or engineering
- Experience in enterprise SaaS sales
- Strong local network within universities, research institutions, biotech, or fine chemicals in Korea
