A foreign insurance company is searching for a Business Development Executive. The chosen applicant will be responsible for driving new business growth through strategy, prospect management, and client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve new business objectives as established by the Regional Sales Manager.
- Develop strategy and complete call plans or reports to ensure that all prospects’ information and documentation are updated in the SRS (Strategic Relationship System)
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with prospective clients and brokers to
successfully create continuous new business opportunities - Manage new business opportunities by continuously developing prospects
- Maintain an active involvement in the local insurance and brokerage community by
participating in meetings, conferences, and industry-related functions - Maintain a thorough understanding of competitors’ products, services, current pricing strategy and practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in any discipline
- 5-8 years of working experience in risk management, loss prevention engineering, claims or underwriting
- Skilled in MS Office
- Ability to develop strong relationships with clients
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including facilitating and presentation
- Proficient in written and verbal English
Preferred requirements:
- Experience in the broader insurance industry
- Knowledge of sales processes (prospecting, nurturing, follow-up, follow-through,
negotiating, closing) and proven sales experience - Proficient in written and verbal Mandarin or Cantonese
