A global software development company is searching for a Data Engineer. The chosen applicant will ensure the reliability and timeliness of data processes by addressing automation issues and maintaining system performance.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve batch automation disruptions to meet customer SLA’s with accurate and on-time results
- Validate, synthesise, and transform customer data for planning, visibility, collaboration, and analytics
- Review and analyse data provided by the customer along with its technical or functional intent and interdependencies
- Ensure smooth operations of the company’s cloud-based solution
- Create automated tasks with shell scripts
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery processes
- Collect, monitor, and analyse systems performance data for improved performance
- Participate in technical design and data requirements gathering, and recommend solutions for inaccurate or missing data
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in computer engineering, supply chain, operations research, computer science, statistics, or a related quantitative field (Master’s is desirable)
- More than 2 years of hands-on experience in SQL and leveraging ETL tools like SSIS for data transformation
- Prior experience in the Supply Chain domain
- Proficient in SQL and leveraging ETL tools like SSIS for data transformations
- Proficient in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
- Experience with planning applications like SAP, Oracle, e2open, Kinnaxis, JDA, etc.
is preferred - Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), AZURE, and Google Cloud Infrastructures is preferred
- Statistical, optimisation, and simulation skills through software tools and packages like R, JavaScript, or Python are a plus
- Fluent level written and verbal English and Korean
