A Finance Manager role is now open in an investment firm. The selected applicant will provide strategic financial oversight while managing operational accounting in a cross-border environment. This role is based in Belguim.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial oversight while managing operational accounting in a cross-border environment
- Lead IFRS-based group financial consolidation for the European portfolio and prepare reporting packages for the Korean headquarters
- Supervise local accounting with finance staff and coordinate third-party advisors (accounting firm, legal counsel, banks, etc)
- Support local treasury operations, including cash flow management and working capital optimisation
- Act as a liaison among the Belgian Holding company, the Korean headquarters, and subsidiaries across Europe to ensure consistency in reporting and controls
- Prepare group consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Produce and review periodic management reports for both local and group leadership
- Provide financial planning, analysis, and decision-making support, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance financial analysis
- Define audit scope, coordinate external audits, and ensure internal control compliance
- Support local financing arrangements as well as accounting and tax compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in finance or related discipline
- 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Strong IFRS consolidation and accounting skills
- Big 4 background at the manager level is preferred
- KICPA is preferred
- Willingness to be based in Belgium
- Business level written and verbal Korean and English
