A renowned equipment manufacturer is searching for an IP Specialist. The selected candidate will develop and execute the intellectual property strategy while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Establish the Company’s intellectual property strategy
- Manage communications with and direct the activities of outside counsel, actively assist in preparing filing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications, including preparing arguments in response to office actions
- Provide guidance to senior management on licensing and business transactions involving intellectual property
- Work with R&D to assess patentability of new inventions, assist in drafting and reviewing related invention disclosures
- Propose and execute strategies for the protection of the Company’s intellectual property
- Provide periodic training to Company employees regarding the protection of intellectual property
- Advise senior management on any new laws, regulations, or statutes affecting the Company’s intellectual property
- Review, approve, and budget IP expenditure, and manage expenses to budget
- Operate Patent review committee periodically
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in legal, engineering, or other applicable field of study
- More than 5 years of experience managing the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and the conduction of patentability (semiconductor industry is a plus)
- Experience in Semiconductor process and Front-End process equipment is preferred
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Patent Attorney is preferred
- Proficient in written and verbal English
