A global market intelligence company is searching for a Market Specialist. The chosen applicant will research and analyse the pyrolysis oil and bio-naphtha markets, delivering timely insights, price assessments, and reports.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on pyrolysis oil and bio-naphtha to produce news, market analysis, price assessments, and support product development with cross-functional teams
- Track projects, investments, supply-demand trends, and trade flow changes while maintaining updated databases
- Report on emerging markets using engaging content and data visualisations that add value to subscribers
- Contribute to building data analytics for pyrolysis oil and bio-naphtha
- Travel to attend and present at industry events, conferences, and client sessions
- Identify and share key market developments, highlighting their impact on content and commercial opportunities with content teams and the wider business, including strategy, sales, and marketing
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in chemical engineering, business/finance, economics, journalism or similar
- 5-10 years of industry or reporting experience in the chemicals or energy industry with a proven track record of being an established expert in the field
- Experience of working with Excel/Excel-based business tools
- Established network of contacts in the chemical, energy, or sustainability space
- Knowledge or interest in market economics
- High level of numerical accuracy and excellent analytical skill
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual level written and verbal English and Korean
