A retail company is searching for a Finance Manager. The chosen applicant will be overseeing finance operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and maintaining financial accuracy and integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee operations in the finance department
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and relevant financial regulations, maintaining global accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of month-end tasks performed by the Global Business Service team
- Oversee and ensure accuracy of financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets
- Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate and timely financial information
- Supervise preparation of consolidated financial statements for management and external stakeholders (IFRS)
- Supervise the calculation of taxable income and income tax liabilities of the organisation
- Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
- Lead, supervise, and develop accounting staff through guidance, training, and performance feedback
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in relevant disciplines or
- 10-20 years in financial management and accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (SAP and Coupa)
- Advanced level MS Excel
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
- General business knowledge
- Business level English
Preferred requirements:
- Prior supervisory or audit experience
- Proven retail experience or multinational corporation
- CPA designation
- Proficient in Japanese
