An international food manufacturer is looking for a Purchase Specialist. The chosen applicant will manage purchase orders, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure timely material availability.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage purchase orders based on MRP and production requirements
- Track order confirmations, delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods
- Maintain accurate records of PO status in ERP/SAP and procurement systems
- Communicate daily with local and global suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
- Follow up on delivery delays or quantity and quality discrepancies
- Support periodic supplier evaluations and performance tracking
- Maintain up-to-date purchasing master data, including vendor master, pricing, and lead time
- Monitor and update source lists and material info records in SAP
- Align with Production Planning, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure raw material availability
- Support resolution of invoice discrepancies or GR/IR mismatches in coordination with Finance
- Ensure adherence to company purchasing policies and compliance standards
- Prepare and manage documentation related to purchase orders, quotations, contracts, and delivery schedules
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in business administration, logistics, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement (preferably in food, FMCG, or manufacturing)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Excel
- Basic knowledge of import/export process and incoterms is preferred
- Understanding of vendor contract terms, P2P process, and cost control is desirable
- Fluent level Korean; business level English is a plus
